Hmm..
Saia biasanya pakai XL Unlimited ( 49rb/30hari klo gak salah) … paket yang bisa di pakai untuk update status, upload foto, check’in foursquare, email – email dan lain – lain..

Sayang-nya kemarin lagi gak ada pulsa yang cukup sehingga gagal untuk perpanjangan. Alhasil sepertinya tidak bisa di perbaharui dan harus memilih paket XL HotRod….

Lalu, jadi penasaran, sebenarnya paket Internet Unlimited untuk user mobile saat ini bagaimana yah !?…

Setelah browsing – browsing beberapa website resmi para operator… terutama yang GSM… dapatlah hasil sebagai berikut..

1. Telkomsel

2. XL

3. Indosat

4. Axis

5. Three

Ada 5 operator GSM yang menawarkan paket internet , hampir semua menawarkan sebagai paket Internet Unlimited atau akses internet tanpa batas. Asumsi saia bahwa bisa dipakai sepuas – puas-nya untuk mengakses internet.

Dengan adanya 5 operator, tedapat hampir 8 paket internet dengan kelebihan dan kekurangan masing – masing. Lalu mana yang terbaik untuk digunakan dengan kebutuhan :

– Baca email (email provider-nya Gmail)

– Update status Facebook dan upload foto

– Check in Foursquare

– Nge’Tweet

– Browsing

dan semua bisa dilakukan menggunakan handset hp saja.. tidak perlu dijadikan sebagai modem dulu.

Suapaya gak tambah bingung, saia coba masukan dalam 1 tabel ..

Kesimpulan dari tabel ini ?

Agak sulit menentukannya karena ada 2 operator (Hutch dan Axis) yang kurang mencantumkan informasi maksimum kecepatan-nya.

Jika hanya melihat FUP dibanding harga, rasanya Three bisa menjadi pilihan, karena besar FUP yang diberikan bisa mencapai 5 Gb dengan harga relatif lebih “murah”.Alternatif lain paket XL, 25rb untuk 30 hari dengan FUP 0,5 Gb.

Sedangkan untuk paket – paket harian, sebaiknya di hindari saja. rasanya jadi “mahal” jika FUP-nya kurang dari 0,5 Gb.

Beberapa waktu lalu, banyak teman 2x g, yg tanya dan bilang…
“…online pake apa ? blek beri y ?” , “.. chatting harus pake blek beri.. “, ” YM cuma bisa di blek beri.. ”

hmm..hmm.. berdasarkan pengalaman dan pengamatan g selama ini.. kayaknya lebih banyak yang pakai blackberry dengan anggapan “untuk chatting/browsing” daripada memanfaatkan layanan “push email”-nya.. selalu konotasinya lebih mudah pakai BlackBerry, untuk melakukan hal tersebut… Apa iya begitu ?!?

Lalu kalau hanya sekadar ingin chatting / browsing sepuasnya.. apakah harus pakai handset Blackberry dan berlangganan servis2x BlackBerry ???

Menurut g, gak juga tuh…. walaupun g beli BlackBerry juga.. tapi dari pengalaman, jika untuk melakukan chat / browsing aja ..
handset + layanan operator yang ada saat ini.. juga sudah mumpuni..
..kalo bicara “push email” mungkin beda cerita…

Untuk kebutuhan online.. saat ini paket – paket data yang ditawarkan oleh para operator sudah cukup masuk akal…. rata 2x memiliki paket yang dapat disesuaikan kebutuhan.. bisa per hari , minggu, bulan, atau n bulan.

price-nya kurang lebih sekitaran 100 – 200 rb / bln… berikut price dari beberapa operator
untuk si merah (Telkomsel), saat post ini dibuat, websitenya tidak bisa di akses….

Lalu setelah dapat paket yang sesuai, apakah handsetya mendukung ? … untuk dapat asyik chat dan browse..
1. sebaiknya gunakan handset yang sudah mendukung 3G/HSDPA/EDGE/3.5G untuk handset GSM.. atau CDMA2000-1x/EVDO untuk handset CDMA
2. beli yang bisa instal Java application (J2ME + MIDP2)
3. lihat apakah mobile browser sudah tersedia, beberapa handset buatan negri tirai bambu, menyediakan mobile browser sendiri, but i prefer yang sudah support browser Opera saja or sudah kompatible dengan WAP 2.0 / XHTML.
4. cari keypad / touch screen yang sesuai dengan jari anda.. don’t maksa, biar gak pegel, .. mencet2x handphone lama2x juga gak baik buat jari tangan.. wekekeke…

Nah.. mengenai Chatting… silahkan dicoba mana aplikasi Instant Messanging / IM (alat chattingnya wikikiki ) yang paling cocok dengan gaya anda…
secara garis besar, fitur – fitur yang disediaan sbb :
– Multiple account , bisa online lebih dari 1 account IM, seperti Yahoo Messenger, Google Talk, Skype, MSN, ICQ, AIM, dst, dll, dsb…
– Invisible.. (standart lah)
– Resident application.. jadi walaupun IM gak kita plototin trus.. IM akan tetap nyala.. sehingga jika ada message masuk, akan ada alertnya..
